have the Ring Doorbell Pro and had thought of getting the Ring Doorbell for another door which is not wired. I was not impressed with it and held off until I noticed that the 2nd Generation version with better image detail and better night vision was available for the same price (actually on sale when I saw it, so even cheaper).
I was not disappointed. As expected, the battery life leaves much to be desired and the product really wants a fairly strong wifi signal (I have interference from neighbors so I had to boost my signal significantly to avoid it disconnecting). You would want an Android (or Windows Phone) app to monitor signal strength since it is much more difficult to evaluate wifi signals using an iPhone.
Installation was straightforward other than the wifi issue and it has worked reliably since installation.
