How does Echo Auto work?
Echo Auto connects to Alexa through your phone's Alexa app and plays through your car's speakers via auxiliary input or your smartphone's Bluetooth connection. Each time you start your car make sure your phone's volume is up and set your car stereo to the correct input. Then say "Alexa" - wait for the chime - and ask.

Echo Auto uses the Alexa app to access your favourite content. Just ask Alexa to play a song, genre, artist, or station from Amazon Music, Apple Music and Spotify. With TuneIn, RadioApp and iHeartRadio, listen to local radio stations or thousands more from around the world. With Audible, listen to the world's largest library of audiobooks. Plus, stream podcasts, listen to the news, or keep the whole car entertained with games like Twenty Questions, Song Quiz and Would You Rather.
Make the most of your drive
Update to-do lists, set reminders, or check calendars while your eyes stay on the road. Just ask for directions and Alexa connects to supported apps like Google Maps, Apple Maps, or Waze on your phone. Alexa can even help you make calls, Drop In on compatible Echo devices at home, or send an Announcement that you're on your way.

Alexa and Echo devices are built with multiple layers of privacy protection. For example, Echo Auto has a microphone off button that electronically disconnects the microphones. Connecting Echo Auto connect to your phone
Echo Auto connects to Alexa through the Alexa app on your phone and uses your existing smartphone data plan for connectivity and other feature. Mobile service provider charges may apply. The following phones are not compatible with Echo Auto.
Please note OnePlus phones have battery saving customisations that kill apps to conserve power. OnePlus users should try the following steps on your phone to prevent the Alexa app from being killed.
1.Check if battery optimisation is turned off for Alexa appa.Go to phone settings > Battery > Battery Optimisation > Amazon Alexa > Don't optimise > done.
2.Try pinning the Alexa App in memorya.Go to 'multitasking' and then tap on the lock icon for the Alexa app
Connecting Echo Auto connect to your car
Echo Auto connects to most cars that support Bluetooth to play music or that have an auxiliary input. The following cars are not compatible with Echo Auto when using Bluetooth. You can still use Echo Auto with these cars by connecting via the included auxiliary cable.
The air vent types shown are compatible with the included mount.
